Beijing Tourism Bureau will give out 300,000 e-tickets to tourists who will spend the upcoming Spring Festival in Beijing.

Starting from February 3, visitors from both home and abroad are able to book electronic tickets through the internet to more than 50 parks and places of historical interest in Beijing.

Initiated by Beijing Tourism Bureau, this so-called "Visit Beijing during Spring Festival" project will give out 300,000 e-tickets to tourists who will spend the upcoming Spring Festival in Beijing and would like to visit famous tourist attractions. These places include world cultural heritage sites such as the Summer Palace and the Ming Tombs, natural scenic areas such as the Black Dragon Pool and the Forest Park.

Travelers can log on to the official website of the Beijing Tourism Bureau www.visitbeijing.com.cn, register there, and choose their favorite tourist sites. Then the system will select those lucky folks randomly and send a 2-dimensional bar code to the mobile phone of the registrar. With this code, travelers can go to their favorite parks for free.

As official statistics show, nearly 700,000 netizens have registered in www.visitbeijing.com.cn since February 3. Among them, more than 100,000 received the 2-dimensional bar code, which means they can go to their favorite parks for free during the Spring Festival.

Sun Weijia, deputy director of Beijing Tourism Bureau, says: "This is the first try in China that provides free e-tickets to netizens. I believe travel lovers will enjoy the convenience of digital service and have an unforgettable Spring Festival."
