This event grows every year, with several thousands now willing to pay 200 to 380 yuan for a ticket. It attracts some big names too; the 2007 line-up included Nine Inch Nails and Public Enemy. The fact the bands like these were permitted, with their anti-establishment slants, has been seen as a sign of China opening up. Public Enemy could, however, only be referred to as P.E. in all promotional material.
