According to CFI.cn, Beijing will release a national leisure plan in March and it will also launch an all-in-one card for tourists.

Gu Xiaoyuan, deputy director of Beijing Tourism Administration, has disclosed to local media that one-day tours to Beijing's surrounding areas will be offered to Beijing residents and this will be done by officially registered travel service providers to ensure the quality of the service. The one-day tours are mainly targeted at senior citizens during normal days, students during summer and winter holidays, and all Beijing residents on weekends.

Gu says that BTA is consulting with the departments concerned about offering free buses for sightseeing and issuing an all-in-one card, which is expected to offer discounts for tourists at hotels, transportation, and scenic spots.

It is expected that Beijing's national leisure plan will come out in March 2009.
