After the success of Urban Ballet in 2010, French choreographer Anthony Egéa returns to Beijing with a surprising creation, combining the wildly different genres of hip-hop, ballet and tai ji quan.

Director and choreographer of the Rêvolution Company, Anthony Egéa was invited in spring 2010 to present his latest creation, Urban Ballet, at the Croisements Festival in China. His choreography, blending hip-hop and ballet, captivated Chinese audiences in Shenzhen, Kunming, Wuhan and Beijing. It also won over famous dancer Wang Yuanyuan, director of the contemporary dance company Beijing Dance Theater, who asked Anthony Egea to choreograph a show for her dancers.
