The well-known Peking Opera Dragon and Phoneix is adapted from the Chapter 54 and Chapter 55 of the Chinese classic novel The Romance of Three Kingdoms based on the story of Shu's King Liu Bei marrying Wu's King Sun Quan's younger sister Sun Shangxiang.

The 7th day of the lunar seventh month is traditional Chinese Valentine's Day. The National Center for the Performing (NCPA) will stage the traditional Chinese drama art by married-couple performers to celebrate the traditional lovers' festival.
